Ten peptides in perspective: what is science investigating?

A familiar name tells you little about the strength of the evidence. A clear research question is more useful than a ranking filled with sweeping promises.

Why these ten?

This editorial selection reflects the Buddha Peptides catalog and covers metabolic research, cell biology and neuropeptides. It is not a sales ranking or an order of effectiveness. Each topic has its own research history.

1. Retatrutide

A 2023 phase 2 study provides clinical context for this receptor agonist. Examine its population and design. NEJM · 26-06-2023

2. Tirzepatide

SURMOUNT-5 clinically compared tirzepatide with semaglutide. A controlled comparison helps define the research question. NEJM · 11-05-2025

3. Semaglutide

A comparison gains meaning within one research protocol. Assess the design and methods before interpreting isolated figures. NEJM · 11-05-2025

4. BPC-157

A study examined rat tendon tissue and fibroblasts. This is a preclinical model, not a clinical result. PubMed · 2011

5. TB-500

Analytical research identified TB-500 as a thymosin β4 fragment. Check the precise molecular identity in every source. PubMed · 2012

6. GHK-Cu

Fibroblast research described this copper-binding tripeptide. The cell model determines how to interpret the result. PubMed · 10-10-1988

7. MOTS-c

A 2021 study included animal models and human exercise observations. Distinguish administered substances from endogenous measurements. Nature Communications · 20-01-2021

8. Tesamorelin

A 2024 analysis concerned a specific HIV population. Participant context limits the conclusions that can be drawn. PubMed · 2024

9. Selank

A rat study examined gene expression. A mechanistic result requires different interpretation from a clinical symptom measurement. PMC · 2016

10. Semax

A 2023 study examined gene expression in a rat model. Record the model, measurement method and time points. PMC · 2023

Three questions for every paper

Start with the model: cells, animals or clinical participants? Then examine the outcome: a molecular change, a measurable function or a patient outcome? Finally, check what was actually tested. A commercial name does not establish equivalence to the material in a publication.

A careful research record combines literature with clear molecular identity and appropriate batch documentation. Explore the peptide catalog and available CoAs as distinct sources of information.
